heys... would this be considered a good b&w? sry. my bw skills are quite bad. appreciate yr comments=) o yea.. if u look at the water, you ll see 2 faint stripes. not sure what this is. took another picture exact same framing and there was a very bright streak. perhaps it plankton... haha. kinda eerie...
Good one benjamin, for me its a very good attempt at b&w except for the burnt details of the houses on the right, see if u can play around with curves and get the some of those details. I really liked the very clear transition at the horizon and the hole in the clouds. very nice moment, i am also interested in checking out the color version of this photograph.

@Srinivas Koduri: hey. thnx for the advise... but dun think wil be able to pull much detail from it cos took it in b&w. ya. in camera b&w. have another shot. maybe its better. but its got those funny streaks of light i was talking about. thanx again=)
Nice one! Love the light in the sky.

Really nice shot there mate. Great perspective. Maybe a little more contrast mate but not a bad B&W mate. I alway try to shoot in Colour and convert to B&W in photoshop this is the best option. If you shoot in Raw format shooting either is ok.

the shot itself is a good one...composition is good...i would suggest converting to black and white through green filter that brings more half-tones out (from my experience).

Not a bad attempt at all. Great scenery. Maybe some levels or curves painted in on a layer mask to brighten up the right side. Even without, I still like it.

Really good shot. Of course one could do some post processing like adjusting curves to get more contrast and so on, but I also like it as is. You have a really good camera so you probably want to shoot in RAW mode which can anytime be converted to b&w.

@Martin: o... ok. so far i ve only used raw for some of the more "difficult" but nice shots cos of colour balance n exposure. yea. actually din expect this one to be nice. haha. also. dun really have RAW conversion software. so sticking more to jpeg for now. will try once i get something to work with though. thnx=P
