this is my second favourite variant of the heliconia species. sadly, they dun have the larger purple one tts my fav. yea. was trying out the macro lens with my flash in school.
Appropriate title, first word that came to my mind. Beautiful shot.

hahaz the orange and green tinge reminds me of a papaya!! oOps.. anw.. was this the best angle to take the pic?

@Francis: thnx francis. took me quite afew tries to get the composition. then uploaded it onto the com n realised i burnt out one of the stalks. so had to walk down 4 storeys again to take it. haha. my sch has deadly stairs.. haha. 6 levels from the entrance to our assembly point in the morning X_X

wow it's vibrant all right! and against the black background it's all the more striking. looks like those pictures/videos used on display TVs in departmental stores when they want to show you how high the quality of their TVs are.
