well.. this is my favourite type of heliconia. haha. love the purple bits at the back. reminds me of the bird of paradise... sadly, ive only ever seen this one twice... only in malaysia. they dun seem to have it back here in singapore... had to rush this shot as it was starting to rain hence the leaves shrouding the side. but also thnx to it, the lovely droplets hope i ve done this well enough for your to like it as i have=P
well done Benjamin this is a beautiful shot and the composition is excellent with the leaves nicely framing the bird of paradise

ahhh that's a pretty thing! purple is such a composed colour. and it soothes the otherwise aggressive (what with the sharp points and warm colours) feel of this image, while still retaining its vigour.
