Helen from Melbourne, AustraliaHow incredible! Gosh I am impressed by this. Congrats 30 Jan 2007 7:16am @Helen: thanx alot Helen=P Andrea Cebrero G. from Vienna, Austriaeeek... I decidedly have a phobia of this particular kind of mosquito... but I must say, put in focus like that and with the blurred out background they almost look pretty... like a mosquito-garland. what IS that background, anyway? 30 Jan 2007 7:59am @Andrea Cebrero G.: thanx Andrea=) ermz. the back ground. the dark are shadows from tree branches. the white should be my school buildin gin the bg. then the tinge of blue comes from the sky. yups. good thing the owner hadnt eaten them yet=P @Dimitrios: thnx Dimitrios=) Anne from White Rock, CanadaOh! Fantastic picture Benjamin. Really well done. The transparency of the wings is pretty. Never occurred to me that mosquitos could look so good! 30 Jan 2007 12:07pm @Anne: thanx anne=) yea. love the veins in insect wings.. if only could post this picture bigger.. thnx again=) deon from Singaporehey omgdness that's amazing! where/how did u find all these mosquitoes? argh so many of them. and they look like daddy-long-legs. ahhh scary scary ='( but it's a very pretty photo! 30 Jan 2007 12:11pm @deon: hey! thhnd Deon=) was in school. you noe.. in the middle of the circle? out side LT5. was under one of the pine trees beside the wire sculptures. just happened to almost walk into it=P jennifer radio from United StatesEek! I hate those things! But you've managed to make them beautiful .. I still think they're gross. :P 30 Jan 2007 12:22pm @jennifer radio: hmmz.. its not my grossest image=P have one of a black and white cockroach. then its thorax was transparent. you can see the tissue fibers inside.. i cringe even thinking about it. haha. thnx for your kinda comments=P @Maoya: thnx Maoya=) Donna from Manchester, New Hampshire, United StatesLooks like a delicate necklace of mosquitos. wonderful photo. 30 Jan 2007 1:09pm @Donna: thnx Donna=) it is delicate. if im not wrong, if you just touch the web slightly they ll be able to fly free... what puzzles me is that. since young i ve seen them like this. and they re always stuck on the tips of their front legs.. y?. haha. thnx again for dropping by=P @Still: thanx still=) love your post today too! That´s why it's a great shot. 30 Jan 2007 10:58pm am3 person from Portland, United StatesWonderful shot and nice composition. This reminds me of crane fly behavior. 31 Jan 2007 1:20am Evelyn from New Milford, United StatesI guess if they're in an air raid, they're the kamikaze, eh? There's something very sad about male mosquitoes...they don't bite us, but they still get the bad rap. And, apparently, they become spider feed. 31 Jan 2007 2:18am @Evelyn: hmmz... yea. i think wad you ve said is true.. din really think of it that way though.. thnx for the view point and the comment=) Lyndsey Le from Houston, TX, United StatesWhat a rare shot!
